WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?

The word plagiarism is of Latin origin.I can explain its meaning as follows: It is to introduce and use someone else's work, writing or content as one's own writing or content without citing the source. For example, presenting someone else's idea as if it were your own, or copying the exact same sentence from someone else's article and using it in our own article without citing the source or referencing.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM:

DIRECT PLAGIARISM
HIRED PLAGIARISM
BORROWED PLAGIARISM
SELF PLAGIARISM
MUSIC PLAGIARISM

DIRECT PLAGIARISM:
Direct plagiarism, also known as"clone plagiarism," involves copying the of someone else's work and claiming it to be your own original work. This is the first thing many people associate with many word.

HIRED PLAGIARISM:
Hired plagiarism can be paying someone else to write an article or piece of work, research paper for you. This includes bbuying of written work from websites or article writing services without knowing the original work information or source.

BORROWED PLAGIARISM:
Lending articles from friends is also plagiarism. You may have friends who took a course from a different lecturer some time ago. If you use a part of an their work that a friend wrote for a past course, it's considered lending PLAGIARISM

SELF PLAGIARISM:
Similarly, coping your own work from a past period and presenting it as a new work without referencing it is a form of plagiarism. Clarifying my point, using the same article to do two different work for two different task is also self-plagiarism or personal PLAGIARISM

MUSAIC PLAGIARISM:
The most confusing types of plagiarism is music plagiarism because it involves so many different behaviors. Also called copy and past work plagiarism" or copying writing," this type of plagiarism involves using part of someone else's work and adding your own to it. This includes cut and paste and find and replace plagiarism; here you have replaced certain words or parts with other words to make them different.

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM
plagiarism is not always intentional, but still there is not an excuse for stealing someone's work. An author can accidentallyly plagiarize someone's content without having an idea that he has done it.

COMPLETE PLAGIARISM
Complete plagiarism is the most common form of plagiarism. This occurs when a writer takes a writing work of another writer as his own. This occurs when a publishes work of another publishers and publish it as his work. This type of plagiarism can be conside red to be theft and it is a serious offence.

WHAT MAY CAUSE PLAGIARISM?
■ Firstly Content creators who plagiarize mostly lack the skill to make their own quality content.
Authors spend a lot of individual effort when making their content because they want the content to be of value when it goes out into the public.

■ Secondly, people who plagiarize want to steal an author’s content because it has made lots of profit.
When an author creates a content that has made lots of profit the one who steals it then realizes that he can make profit from it.

HOW CAN WE AVOID PLAGIARISM ?
You can use someone else's content in your own content as follows: Write 'source' in square brackets, write the link of the link in normal brackets and close the brackets, this way you avoid plagiarism.

HOW TO CITE A SOURCE?
If you want to use someone's content like image, article, diagram etc, you have to mention its original source. It is very important on this platform. For this, you have to copy original link and then follow this method [source] (link).

This are the little things I think we should all know
about plagiarism on steemit.
