INTRODUCTION
Everyone wants to stay fit and look smart. Some persons would be checking their weight on weekly basis so as to know when they are over weighed. But ask yourself do I really need to lose weight? Some say that they want to lose weight. However many people are more concerned about their physical appearance than their health. To lose weight, some resort to skipping meals or taking weight-loss pills. But these methods of losing weight usually prove futile and are sometimes even dangerous.

FACTS
The fact is many who are concerned about their weight should not really be. Their weight is actually fine—but perhaps they feel fat when they are comparing themselves with others or with the skinny “ideal” that the media is promoting.

But,some people really do need to lose weight. The truth is: it is more common for people to be obese than to be underweight. And Obesity is also common in low-income countries, even in some households where they members are undernourished. But how can weight be properly loss?
HOW TO PROPERLY LOSE WEIGHT
Skipping meals or cutting out a group of food might get quick results. But these methods may not be healthy, and it's likely you will regain the weight once you go back to your usual eating habits. What then can be done? The table below contains what to do in other to properly lose weight:

Exercising regularly, replacing junk foods with healthy foods, monitoring calories intake and eating slowly also help in losing weight.
