ACHIEVEMENTS2: BASIC SECURITY KEYS BY @ikramzomyala

I'm @ikramzomyala and I'm extremely grateful to participate in the achievement 2 mission, which is all about the security of steemit. I’m absolutely grateful to my brother @abdul-mugis for your words of advice and for introducing me into this wonderful platform of life changing tool as well as your assistance with the achievement 2 task.

keys and password are your primary account's first line of protection against unauthorized access; thus, understanding Steemit keys, how they function, and how to keep them safe is very necessary.

Steemit also comes with five (5) different keys, each with its own set of functions. I learned how these keys work on the platform so that I wouldn't lose any tokens and to keep them safe properly in case I needed to recover my account due to unfortunate failure. It's been described to me as my life and it’s very important to keep it well save. The use of steem keys should be determined by the task at hand.

The names of Steamit keys and their functions are spelled out below;

POSTING KEY:It is the most important keys amount the other keys because, the account won’t be active if you failed to provide this key. Users use this key for everyday tasks such as posting, resteeming, editing, voting, and following or muting other accounts.

ACTIVE KEY: This key are purposely created for transactions, specifically for tasks like transferring money, power up/down transactions, witness voting, converting Steem dollars, updating profile information and avatars, and placing a market order.

OWNER KEY:This it a valuable key, and it is use when the need arises. It has the power to modify other account's key, including its self (owner key). The owner key must be kept outside for safety reasons, since you can restore what ever key you lost.

MEMO KEY: It equally important as well though and should be kept secure because it's the only way to send and receive encrypted messages.

MASTER KEY: It is the first key to receive after signing up a steem account. It is the most valuable key amount the keys because it is used to generate all other keys, including the owner key. It should be keep safe.
It's absolutely a superb idea to have a copy of your master key because if you lose your master key as well as your owner key, you'll lose access to your account and all that you have work for.

STEEMIT WALLET: The Steemit wallet is made up of three: Steem, steem power, and steem back dollar

Brief explanations of the steemit wallets are below:

Steem is a liquid cryptocurrency that is used for internal transactions and can also be transformed into steem electricity.

Steem power: This type of steem gives you the authority to comment and perform many transactions like posting and also influences your vote. This steem is locked up and will be changed into liquid steem after four weeks.

Steem Back Dollar is a type of steem that is transferable to another account or traded for steem in a liquid form on the internal market.

PROCEDURE OF HOW TO POWER UP

Select ‘POWER UP BUTTON' from the drop down menu by clicking on the small triangle near your steem balance.

The amount you want to power up will be required by the nest pop out box; you will see how much current steem you have in your wallet below; enter the amount you want to power up.

On the left-hand side of the menu, click the power up button.

Your steem will be converted to steem power in a seconds.

HOW TO TRANSFER A TOKEN TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT:
Select ‘POWER UP BUTTON' from the pop up menu.

Select transfer from the drop down

Wait for a drop down menu to appear after clicking on the steem.
To confirm your move, enter the number and the recipient's username, then click Next.

HOW TO POWER UP
Go to profile
Click on wallet

Click on Power Up
Enter the amount to power up and then click on Power Up to confirm.
