Hello great steemit community, I am a retired secondary school teacher from Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria, My name is Imo Eton.

Obviously I'm married with four lovely children, three of which are boys and having the last to be a girl.
My first son is a Lawyer, while my second son is still in the University, studying Mechanical Engineering and I think he's in his 400th level (i.e 4th year), my third son is at the moment writing his O'level certificate examination and my princess is still in high school.
I would probably say that I am more than 40% accomplished in life. I retired from civil service years back and yes, I became very idle, Oh God, I really miss my working days. I was so vibrant and active but to me the retirement is not as fun as I pictured, it's just so boring but any ways it's nature's setting.

I guess you you be thinking by now, how an old man like me, got to know about image and my aim here.

Well, It's my second son, he's more of a writing type, I guess he got that from me because I myself love writing too.
I complained to my son that the idleness of retirement was draining me from within and that I needed something that could engaged me them he introduced me to a platform called steemit he went as far as teaching how it works and as well preaching the importance of it to me and yes I loved everything about the platform, it's just like the exact thing I needed to get off the boredom and as well still be able to sharpen my intellect.

Basically he did put me through the sets of setup process of creating my Steemit account.

My hobbies

Though, I studied Accounting in University and somehow finally ended up as a teacher, I have so much passion for Engineering and basically repairs and maintenance.
I basically repair things when I'm less occupied.

I love writing too, I miss my active days I swear, I was so good with words.

As a retired Nigerian man, I'm currently more involved in agriculture and I've been even more involved since my retirement.

My plans for steemit

I see so much value in this platform and I think it's something all Nigerians should be a part of, sincerely this is nice and I wish I had been a part of it earlier than this.
I want to navigate the platform for sometime - then if all I'm seeing and have been told is accurate then I will do very good evangelism and I will target my peers; retired Civil service men and women.
This platform is an asset to the world, if a our youths were involved in projects like this Crime I'm the community would be rightly minimized.
