ACHIEVEMENT 2: @Inksvoice TASK: Basic Security on Steem

1. Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Answer: Yes, I have retrieved all the keys. The master password, owner key, Active key, and Posting key.

1. Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Answer: Yes, with brief explanations I want to quickly bring out some of there functions below;

▶ MASTER PASSWORD: This is the head or mother of all the other keys. The posting key, Active key, owner Key, all these keys fall under the master password.

The master password can be used to control the other keys, that is to say, if somebody has access to your master password that means he or she already have access to everything that concerns your account including all the tokens in it. That is why it is always very long so that a third party would find it difficult to access.

▶ OWNER KEY: Owner key is also very strong and important as far as your account is concerned. You don't have to be making use of it all the time. You are supposed to store it offline maybe in a diary or a notebook somewhere in your house where you can easily access it when the need arises or in case your account is compromised. This key is very strong and important because it can change any key of the account, Including the owner key itself.

▶ ACTIVE KEY: Whenever you hear about active key what should come to your mind is; transaction or finance. This is because with this key you will be able to transfer money, do your power up and power down transactions, change or convert them into Dollars. You can also use It to vote for witnesses, update your profile details, and also your Avatar. This key is very useful in terms of transactions. You can also use it to place your market order. In my own words, I call it an "ATM Card"

▶ POSTING KEY: I can say the posting key is like an ID card which always gives you access to go some places and perform certain duties. A posting key will allow you to use your account to make posts, comment on other people's posts, vote on people's posts, follow people, you can even mute an account with this key. It is advisable that when you are logging into an account daily always make use of your posting key.

1. How do you plan to keep your master password?

Answer: the best way and safest place to keep the master password are not in any gadget as it might get stolen or develop fault thereby making me lose my password. I will prefer to buy a small diary and write down all these keys inside it and keep it somewhere in my room where no one can just walk in and access it.

I will write it in such a way that even if someone stumbles on it he or she will not be able to understand what the write-up is all about.

1. Do you know how to transfer your steel token to another steem user account?

Answer: Yes, for anyone who wants to send or transfer steem token to another steam user account; this is what you should do;

A. When you go to your wallet page, you will see STEEM or steem Dollar balances, now the small arrow facing downward click on it.

B. When you click on it, a menu will come out, in that menu, you will see "TRANSFER" click on it.

C. That account you want to send the steem or steem dollar to, write the username and check it very well to make sure the spelling is correct

D. Now, write the amount you want to send.

E. You can write a small memo that will say something about this transaction you Are making or if you don't want to write it, just leave it, okay.

F. Click on the submit button.

G. It will request your password; don't worry it is just to make sure you are the one making this transaction. You can put your master password or Active key, anyone you like.

1. Do you know how to power up your steem?

Answer: Yes, if you want to power up your steem all you need is; if you have a steem token in your wallet, just click on the power-up and it will automatically turn to steem power.

Note:when you power up, you will get more voting influence on posts and comments. It also increases the number of creation rewards and new vested tokens that you can earn.

Steem power is a measurement of how influential you are on the steem network.
