Hello
I sincerely hope you all are fine and having a great weekend. I also hope my reintroductory post meets you well. It's a reintroductory post because I want to do it better this time. I am Ikechukwu fondly called Iyke de Amicable. I am a native of Arochukwu LGA in Abia State, Nigeria. I am a graduate of Soil Science and Land Resources Managment from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. In a family of three males, I'm the second and I'm so glad to be here.
Education
I have always been a brilliant child and grew with the hope of being a medical Doctor someday. I did marvelously well in primary and secondary school and in secondary school, I was good with sciences and it really raised my hopes of being a medical Doctor. I was equally good with agriculture and ginuely loved agriculture. However, I kept telling myself I was going to be a Dr and there was no need to continue with the love I had for agriculture. When I wrote my WAEC (West African Examination Council) exams, I passed with flying colours at my first sitting from a renowned and reputable school (Holy Family College) (picture attached).
I proceeded to write JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) exams to ursher me into the University and flunked. After 3 attempts I decided to try agriculture and I got admitted. After 5 years (which actually took 7 years due to strikes and covid) I'm now a graduate and waiting to do my NYSC (National Youth Service Corp) program.
FAMILY
My father was a force man and my mother was a petty trader. My parents marriage was blessed with 3 males. Life was full of ups and downs and in 2011, my father died. Life became difficult and we adjusted and managed. Six years later (2017) my mother died too. Ever since, life became more difficult and has never remained the same. My mum died in my third year in school when I was still writing my first semester exams. I was so close to my mum that I felt I was going to die after my mum died. I was always lost and couldn't concentrate even while writing my exams. I was lost while walking on the road and luckily escaped several accidents. Fortunately for me, I passed my exams (though the results were not too nice as expected). After several days of starving and feeding poorly, managing poor health and wearing rags, today I'm a graduate. God has been faithful and I'm a testimony.
Bio.
I am a very dedicated young man and passionate about the things I do. Currently, I am a sells person to Colink 4 sure global concept. A shop where we sell Mercedes Benz spare parts. I'm good at what I do and this sells assisted me through school. I had to grow my passion for agriculture and today I have a snailery. I started my snail farm with few snails and God stood by me. The farm is growing daily. I still intend to dive into other agricultural production practices such as fishery, piggery, poultry and planting. I pray for financial favour and God willing, I'll attain the peak of success achievable by man.
Here's a picture of my snailery.
Steemit.
My friend, class rep and brother @akcares introduced me to steemit and here I am. I hope I'll make good friends and learn from people across the globe. Personally I've always believed in people building people. I believe as a person, I can smile and as a group we can laugh. As a person I can eat and as a group we can feast. So, I'm pleased to join this train.
I hope you guys love to read my reintroductory story. I hope to enjoy my steemit ride now and always.
Happy weekend.....
