ACHIEVEMENT 2 SECURITY IN STEEMIT by@jamike4

Hello great minds of steemit

l am happy to be part of this great organization with great minds.
Most importantly, l am happy to write my achievement 2 which is talking about security.
In the cause of my study regarding this task, l found out the importance of the keys we are going to be discussing about.

SECURITY
Security is simply the safety measures an individual or an organization observes to obtain maximum protection from Danger.

SECURITY IN STEMMIT
Security in stemmit is the measures the organization put in place to protect the privacy of it's members.
There are five major keys that was created for the purpose of protecting the privacy of it's members
They are:
✓ Posting key
✓ Active key
✓ Memo key
✓ Owner key
✓ Master key

POSTING KEY
Like the name implies, this key is the key that permits the account owner to publish a written article.
It can also be used for other task like upvoting(showing supports), down voting(demoting), and also to select who to follow and not to follow.

ACTIVE KEY
The active key is used mainly for confirmation of transactions and in changing users setting.
The active key can also be used to perform many tasks such as Posting and much more.

MEMO KEY
The Memo key is used in encryption of messages (converting information into secret codes) and decryption messages (decoding secret codes).
It is this key that help securing transactions that are encrypted.

OWNERS KEY
This is one of the most important keys in steemit.
As the name implies, owner key is the key that gives the account user full access to his account and it can also be used to change other keys.

MASTER PASSWORD
This key is the most important key, it can be used to influence other permission keys.
It is designed to change other permission keys, which are not done on regular basis.

The Permission keys explained above are the keys which are used to run a steemit account smoothly without stress, so it should be protected with all cost. If lost it literally means that a users account has been

HOW TO RETRIEVE YOUR PERMISSION KEYS
After creating an account, the first key that is encountered is the Master key, it's this key that is used to gain access to the next page during registration.
After the Master key page, the PDF that contains all the keys will appear, download it and access it through a PDF reader.

SECURING YOUR KEYS
There are different methods used by people to secure their keys, the most important thing is that the key must be safe and secured.
I copied my Master key and the other permission keys and saved them in my Gmail account where l can access them even if misplaced my phone.

PROCEDURES FOR TRANSFERRING STEEM TOKEN
✓ Click on the icon that contains your profile.

✓ Click on Wallet, and sign in to your wallet.

✓ Click on steem balance, click on transfer in the options that is displayed.

✓ Input the username of the person you want to transfer to and amount you want to transfer, then click on next and confirm the transaction.

HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM
✓ Click on the icon that contains your profile.

✓ Sign in to your wallet.

✓ Click on your steem balance, click on power up in the options that is displayed.
✓ Input the amount you wish to power up, click on power up and confirm the transaction.
