Achievement 2 @jaysensordum Task: Basic Security on Steemit

Hello friends,
It is quite a big privilege to be on this platform and to be given this opportunity to write on this essential topic; which is BASIC SECURITY ON STEEM. I must say the security measures on the steemit platform is unique.
I was lost as to how to proceed but thanks to my friend @iamchukwudi who serves as a guide to me on how to retrieve all my keys. With the timely articles from @cryptokannon and insight from @ngoenyi, I’ve understand the need to keep my account safe and the measures I must take to ensure my account is always secured.
So answering the first question.
HAVE YOU RETRIEVED ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT?
YES, I have. I have gotten all my keys in a pdf file, safely downloaded and kept at a place that only I can access.
This brings up the next question.

DO YOU KNOW EACH OF THESE KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS?
My answer is yes. They include:

1. Private Posting Key
2. Private Memo Key
3. Private Active Key
4. Private Owner Key
5. Master Password

Private Posting Key: This key is used to log into a steemit account. To me, it is the most used key among other keys because each time you log into your steemit account you must use it. This key is used for other purposes such as making a post, commenting, voting, editing a post, following other accounts and resteeming.

Private Memo Key: This key is used to encrypt or decrypt memos when transferring funds. This key prevents others from tampering with your transactions thereby securing your transaction information during transfer.
Private Active Key: This key act like your private pin used for your banking transaction such as those used on your debit card. It is used mostly for monetary transactions on the steemit latform (wallet). It is also used for witnesses voting, placing a market order and updating profile information.
Private Owner Key: This key is more like a reset button because it is used to reset all other keys except the master password. This key can be used to recover your account if from hackers. So proper care must be taken to protect this key from hackers because if stolen, the hacker has complete control over your account.
Master Password: This is the first key you receive when signing up to the steemit platform. It is more like a gateway to accessing other keys. This is because it grants you access to other keys needed to perform other tasks on your account. Under no circumstances must the key be compromised. Hence, necessary measures must be employed to secure this password (key), both online and offline.
Having said all that, we move on to the next question.

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR MASTER PASSWORD?
I understand that under no circumstances must I share my master password or any other keys with anyone else to ensure that my steemit account remains secure.
I will protect the pdf file containing my keys with a pin that must be entered before opening the pdf file. I will also print out my keys and keep them safe in a file offline.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER ACCOUNT?
Yes.
Here are the procedures illustrated with images.
First, log into your steem wallet.
There are two ways to do that.
FIRST METHOD
You can do that from your profile if you are already signed into your steemit account. Click on your profile picture at the top right-hand corner of your screen.

From the drop down menu, click on wallet. That should take you straight to your wallet.

SECOND METHOD
You can sign directly sign into your steemit wallet from your phone or PC browser using your active key.

When signed into your wallet, click on the inverted triangle beside your token.

From the dropdown menu, click on transfer.

On the new pop-up window fill in the necessary information as shown in the image below. After that click on transfer. And that should do it.

On to the next question.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM?
Yes!
The procedures used are described and illustrated below.
First, log into your steemit wallet from your phone or PC browser using your active key.
After that click on the inverted triangle beside your steem token.

From the drop-down menu, click on power-up.

On the pop-up window, fill in the amount you need and click on Power Up.

And that is how you steem up, I hope my Achievement 2 was worth your while.
