Hi Fellow Steemians, I am here today to share with you the little knowledge I know about PLAGIARISM. To my understanding of plagiarism, it simply means trying to take credit for someone's original work or portion of their original work without giving them little or no appreciation. Plagiarism is a very offensive act and punishable by COPYRIGHT LAWS either consciously or unconscious. Be creative and original in your own way.

  • How can you avoid Plagiarism?
Let us get to know how we can avoid plagiarism.
  1. We can avoid plagiarism by giving citation to our work which is originally not our content. This is to give more information to our audience and give credit to the original content of other's. Let's take a look at an example of citation below.
  • '' WHAT IS Plagiarism? According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary… 1. To steal and pass off the ideas or words of another as one's own. 2. To use another's production without crediting the source. 3. To commit literary theft. 4. To present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source".source
  1. In Paraphrasing the original work of someone, you should add a link to the website indicating where it was extracted
    Example:
  • Digestion is the chemical breakdown of food particles into smaller units for the blood stream to absorb.source
