What does plagiarism mean?

Ans-
Plagiarism is the act of stealing something from an author or source and claiming it as your own. This is a serious crime that should not be committed. When plagiarism is done, a very bad situation is created on the original creator. So be careful in making something of your own.

I have discussed some types of plagiarism below:

i. Direct Plagiarism.
ii. Paraphrasing Plagiarism.
ii. Self Plagiarism.
iv. Source based Plagiarism.

Now I am giving the explanation of them:

i) Direct Plagiarism:

When a word, idea etc. is collected from a source and used as one's own, it is called direct plagiarism.

ii) Paraphrasing Plagiarism:

Stealing an idea from another author and passing it off as original using a near exact wording and unknowingly copying something exactly.

iii) Self Plagiarism:

Self plagiarism is when someone else's idea is used as own and credit is given to own.

iv) Source based Plagiarism:

When a wrong or non-existent source is given as a reference, it is called source based plagiarism.

ii.Writing on your own without using other people's language, ideas, writing etc.

iii. Crediting and referencing others when something is used.

iv. Using unique content.

What is Citation?

Ans:
A citation is a way of telling readers that the text contained in the citation has been taken from somewhere else.

For example: "Watering the flowers in your backyard because you’ll see how much your plants grow" Source

Hi I hope you are well, after reviewing your achievement 3 i must inform you that this does not meet the requirements established for validation according to the Newcomers' Community.

Do not forget at the end of the post to put the sentence at the end:

"I have read and understood the steemit etiquette on steemit community and also will do my very best to embrace them."

“You must use one of the citation examples described in the explanation of achievement 3, For this you must make a post of no less than 200 words of your authorship about what plagiarism is and additionally include the aforementioned examples (they will not be counted within 200 words)”.

“All the content used that is not 100% of your authorship must be cited according to what is described in the protocol of achievement 3”.

Use the citations to identify the content that is not of your authorship, remember that the other part of the post must be of your authorship and not less than 200 words.
