I'm very excited to make my achievement 4 post which is what plagiarism is.
Now to start with, Plagiarism is clearly the act of stealing or copying another person's work or understanding and claim to be the author of the work.
This action is done without the authorization of the original creator of that work and I understood that it is clearly a crime and cheating.
As a new user on steemit, it is very nice to avoid copy-pasting someone else work as this can terminates your status and can as well, Mark you as a thief.
Borrowing someone else's work without crediting the reference of the founder, presenting an already existed content as new work, ignorant to add citation in passages, adapting to paragraph arrangement are all termed as plagiarism.
Again, ignorant to source picture which is not your own is also another form of plagiarism. Site like pixabay, photostock, unsplash and istock is where to get free pictures for any commercial purposes.
It should be understood that image licenced not for commercial purposes should not be used in the steemit system as it is unlawful .
I as well, recognized that there are four traditional type of plagiarism which includes
Direct plagiarism: this means just duplicating exactly another person's work without reference.
Self plagiarism: this has to do with copying one's own earlier work or combinations of previous post of the same creator.
Mosaic plagiarism: this is simply conforming slightly or repeating someone's phrases.
And lastly, accidental plagiarism; this is when someone intentionally excludes to refer the source of where the information was gotten.
