On the steemit platform, markdowns are used to make write ups and post look very attractive and easy to read. Below are some markdowns that are essential for our dailly posting.

The above headings were created by adding the (#) tag and then space and then the heading

This implies that the more the # tag, the smaller the heading becomes.
Markdown for emphasis
Viscosity
Viscosity can be defined as the resistance which a fluid displays(fluid could be either liquid or gas) in an attempt to get deformed (change in shape). Simply put, Viscosity can be said to be opposition in the flow of a fluid due to the fluids internal friction.
When a fluid posses low viscosity, the fluid easily flows because the molecules that make up the fluid brings about little motion friction of the fluid.
How To Make A Table
A table shows the relationship between different items on it. For example, I will make a table for the prices of car (brands) for sale in a garage

How to highlight a text
To highlight a text, simply add the greater then symbol (>) before the start of the text.
For example
