Hey there, it’s nice to meet you! My name’s Dan and I’m a plastic man. Usually I don't mention the latter when introducing myself in person but since this is an online platform, I thought it would be best to do so.

There are many things I don’t have. I lack the ability to speak verbally (which is why I write), I lack a fixed home (I’m always travelling) and most inconvenient of them all, total mobility. I wonder what was going through my designers’ heads when they created me an inflexible torso.

Because I love travelling but take a slightly longer time to get to places, I often immerse myself in my surroundings instead of plainly focusing on reaching my destination. When you’re a plastic man with a lifespan of a few hundred years, one thing you certainly do have is time. Journeys may be tougher and longer for me but I always get there.

Where am I going, you ask? To be painfully honest, I don’t really know. But part of me isn’t comfortable with spending a living in the same spot like many of my other compatriots. It's not that there's anything wrong with that but a throbbing feeling compels me to venture into the human world and share my observations here.

So apparently, this is where I’m supposed to upload a photo of myself holding up a sign with my Steemit details to verify myself as a real person. But when your physiology consists of ‘U-shaped’ hands … this may be quite a challenge. At the same time, I don’t know if I count as a ‘real person’ but if you’re looking for a ‘real plastic man’, well, I’m the realest one I know out here.
