Achievement No.1: Introduction To Steemit Community

Hello Steemit Community. My name is Kez [@kezws], full name Kez William-Sawang. I found this community through an Advertisement by Entrepreneur.com about Cryptocurrencies. I hope to learn more about Steemit as I become part of the community.

I live in a place called Madang in Papua New Guinea [PNG}. PNG is the biggest of the Pacific Island nations that is situated north of Australia and we share a land border with Indonesian Province of Papua to our west. I'm fascinated by the internet because physical barriers are removed and I can become part of great communities like Steemit even from a remote island paradise surrounded by white sandy beaches and sitting under the coconut palms trees.

I am an advocate for the empowerment of women & girls, with particular focus on being a voice that speaks up about the gender leadership gap that exists in my country. My advocacy offers alternate voice and thinking about contemporary issues and challenges affecting my community and country. I hope to add that value through this platform, targeting audiences in my country.

I'm a single mom of an adult child 24. I'm currently studying economics and public policy. My interests though is in digital entrepreneurship and I'm also studying to formulate my own natural organic products from local ingredients found in the forest. I may write about that journey as well.

I'm not a native English speaker. Sometimes I have writers block. But I keep pushing and writing. Hope to improve and add more value for sharing my thoughts.
