Hello steemian and happy sunday after my achievement 2, here is my achievement 3 which has to do with plagiarism and the type of plagiarism.

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is the act of stealing (intentionally or unintentionally) someone's words, ideas, products, without proper reference or citation. This offense is committed every day especially by scholars and it is punishable by law.

Plagiarism is gotten from the Latin word "plagiarius" meaning kidnap. I guess this phrase organically explains what plagiarism means nevertheless plagiarism can be exhibited through theft of images, videos and audios content. Below are different types of plagiarism

Types of plagiarism; What are the Different Kinds of Plagiarism?

• Direct Plagiarism
• Mosaic Plagiarism
• Accidental plagiarism
• Complete plagiarism
• Paraphrasing plagiarism

Direct plagiarism

Direct plagiarism is when a person copies the words of another author verbatim and publishes the content as his. This type of plagiarism is punishable by law as it is an intentional theft.

Mosaic plagiarism

This is a very creative kind of academic theft where the writer brings different phrases, and words from different authors in a specific research context and compiles them together as his.

Accidental plagiarism

Writing requires an active brain and an active consciousness hence when the attention span has reduced and the brain is tired one is vulnerable to mistakes. This is one of the reasons for accidental plagiarism, so when you find yourself making mistakes and unintentionally paraphrasing while writing kindly take a break and come to your work later.

Complete plagiarism

This is the most severe type of plagiarism, in complete plagiarism the researcher takes another writer's manuscript, removes the author's name, places his name, and submits it as his own.

Paraphrasing plagiarism

As the word entails, paraphrasing plagiarism is the act of paraphrasing another person's content by removing some words and adding your own words.
