STEEMIT KEYS Steemit keys are keys/passcodes which enables account user perform various actions. The steemit keys are personal keys i.e. it is for personal use only. Giving your steemit keys to someone else is not counseled as your steemit account is now disposed to be hacked. Types of keys on steemit and their uses

POSTING KEYS; This is a key which enables user to post, comment on posts, edit posts, up vote or mute user account.

ACTIVE KEYS; This is a key that grants user access to his/her wallet. It is used to transfer funds , power steem either up or down, place market order, vote for witnesses.

OWNER KEY; As its name implies is a key used to perform ownership actions. Functions include;
Help user recover an account when hacked. Used to change other keys

MASTER PASSWORD; The master password also called Master Key is a key generated during sign up, (when opening an account). The master key as the name is the key that create other keys.

MEMO KEY; It is a key used during fund transfer. It enables user encrypt and decrypt memos.

HOW TO TRANSFER STEEM TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT

• The user ought to login wallet using the active key.

• Then click on arrow sign beside your steem balance. It automatically pops up a menu of options where user opt for transfer

• A window where the user has to fill in details of account to be transferred to, amount of steem to be transferred pops up. When information is filled click next.
  A confirmation window pops up with success details of transfer.

HOW TO POWER UP STEEM

• Go to wallet using appropriate key
• Click on arrow key beside your steemians balance(pops up options menu)
• Select power up from the listed options. A pane where user fills in required details pops up, select power up after detail is completely filled. Seconds after a confirmation message saying your steem power has increased pops up.
