What is plagiarism
Plagiarism is the application of someone else work or idea either an image or text etc without the person's knowledge thereby presenting as one own work or ideal.
''Plagiarism is the wrongful appropriation,stealing,publication of another author 's language, thought, ideas or expressions and the presentation of them as ones own original work"

In other to avoid plagiarism work must be cited is the process called citation
What is citation
Citation is the situation whereby you provide the source of your work in other for people to have access to the original text or image used.
Examples of plagiarism are :

Copying another writers work with no attempt to acknowledge that the material was found in an external source
Incorparating another writer word or phrases without quotation mark or citation
Changing the work of an original source but uses thesame ideas with citation
Using graphs, charts figures or images from a source without citing.
Copying material from several writers and rearranging with citation

Types of plagiarism
a. Self plagiarism: Reusing passages and ideas from your previously submitted work.
b. Incorrect citation: fallin]@g to give all the necessary information in your source citation .
c. Mosaic plagiarism : combining text and ideas from differences source without citation.
d. Paraphrasing plagiarism: rephrasing someone else idea with citation .
d. Global plagiarism: Presenting an entire text by someone else as your own work.

I can see @linteg that you understand the etiquette contents in steemit, but you can use the markdown styling guide to nicely source your citations, achievement4 will guide you on that though
