Introduction

My name is Ohaukwu Chinyere Esther. My Steemit ID is @lovelystar. I am from South East Nigeria. Nigeria is one of the countries in West Africa. We have 36 States and Capitals in Nigeria with so many different tribes, ethnic groups and languages. The 3 major tribes are Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba. Our official language is English language and pidgin language ( A funny language mostly speak by the people from the Southern parts of the country).

family background

I am from the Igbo tribe and we speak Igbo Language as our dialect( mother tongue).The first daughter is called Ada while the first son is called okpara. I am the first child and first daughter in a family of 9 which made me an assistant parents to my younger siblings.I grew up in a community where the first daughter takes the role of a mother in a young age in taking care of the younger ones.

The first daughter is expected to be up and doing in taking care of most of the responsibilities in the family especially looking after the young ones, assisting in house chores, doing menial jobs and taking care of the house in the absence of the parents.My parents daily warnings is "You MUST be responsible, character wise and always be conscious of your lifestyles because every mistake you make will affect the behavior of your younger ones who look up to you as their role model".

My Parents are very industrious, hardworking, kind and strict disciplinarians. They believe in the adage that says "spare the rod and spoil the child". As a child, I am always quiet and reticent. I withdraw into my shell whenever I smell troubles from peers and family. My only consolation and companion are my books.I learnt and mastered the art of silence right from childhood.

Educational Background

I went to the University and graduated with a degree in Education Accountancy.Currently,I work in a Real Estate Company as a Consultant/Realtor and I enjoy my work because it brought out the best of me,the positive side of me which helps me to tackle challenges as they come.

I am also a dedicated classroom teacher, one who find immense joy in nurturing young minds and imparting knowledge. During my national youth service,I became more involved in some communities in Northern parts of Nigeria by mentoring and volunteering at organizations such as MDG(Millennium Development Goals) and orphanage homes.

HOBBIES

At my leisure time , I read books or watch movies.I so much cherish the art of cooking and derive great satisfaction from preparing delicious meals.

Furthermore,I am an ardent movie enthusiast.I am also a nature lover who finds solace, solitude and tranquility in nature.I am so charmed by the sky that I always look up every morning, afternoon and night to watch the beautiful sky.

I love traveling, adventure and reading about other cultures since I was a little girl. Sitting on the floor of our family kitchen and reading about people and children who are abused all over the globe.This instilled in me a respect for diversity and a burning desire to take care of the underserved in the communities.

Plans and Desires

My plan is to pursue a masters program on social work. it is one of the careers that makes a positive impact in the lives of the underserved in our society. But perhaps what defines me most is my innate desire to help others. My deep-rooted faith in Catholicism also shapes my values and lifestyle, emphasizing kindness and simplicity. I believe that acts of kindness and sincere communication can make the world a better place.
My daily mantra is this" when life gives you so many reasons to cry,look up to the sky and smile".

How you got to know steemit

I got to know Steemit through a friend @sbamsoneu.He introduced me to this platform.He guides and kept directing me on what to do to reach this stage.He told me so many good things about steemit and one of the best part is that I could be rewarded when I share a quality posts.
