I just got my achievement 2 verified and I’m here to continue with my achievement 3. I’m aiming in completing my achievement so as to know the necessity of being a member of steemit.

What is Plagiarism ?

Plagiarism is the inappropriate of copying, using, or taking someone’s work as yours without mentioning, citing, or giving credit to the owner.

Plagiarism is also the use of another mans ideas, thought, language or expressions as ones own original work.

How to avoid plagiarism?

Most people do practice plagiarism knowingly and others unknowingly. A committed crime still a committed crime. That’s why you shouldn’t be ignorant. So whether it’s international or not, you will need to face the law. And in this platform plagiarism is not accepted and will get your accounted muted or terminated if you get caught.

Tips to avoid plagiarism in your content

• It’s always good to write in your own words when you get ideas from other people
• If it is necessary to copy other authors work or content you will need to give credit to the original owner in quotation
• You still need to give credit to the original owner even if you make slight changes to the content
• Any ideas or information used to do whatever will still need you to give credit to the owner. Doesn’t really matter if it’s direct or indirect
• It’s also important to include ideas in your documents to avoid plagiarism. This makes your article stands out and attractive.
