Hello everyone, Today is a wonderful day and I’m pleased to have the opportunity to Write about the basic security on steem I’ve learnt about steem and some of the keys and their functions

Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit ?
Yes I’ve retrieved my keys and saved them in a secret and secured file where I can reach out when I need any of them.
I’ll entreat fellow new comers who have just joined them steemit community to retrieve and keep them safe.There are various ways you can keep them secured; you either save them offline by printing out on a hard copy and saving it at a convenient place.

Below are the keys on steemit and their functions:
Posting key - To begin with, the posting key is the basic of all the keys on steemit since it is the key one will need to login to the steemit account and it is used to perform social activities on steemit such as commenting, posting and voting of post. It has other wider functions such as resteeming and following other accounts.

Active Key - The active key performs more advanced functions as compared to the posting key. The active key is used for monetary actions and other wallet related activities, such as transferring tokens this includes the transaction of funds or powering up and down steem. This key is performs task that are related to the steemit wallet.

Owner key- As the name suggests, the owner key performs more important functions. This key permits the steemit user to reset all other keys when there is the need to. This key can be referred to as the key to other keys. Due to the importance of this key I’ll entreat you to save it somewhere secured probably printing out a hard copy for yourself.

Memo key - The memo key is used when one is encrypting and decrypting a memo. The memo key is used when one needs to transfer funds.

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO SAVE YOUR MASTER PASSWORD?
Considering the keys mentioned above,one can say the owner key is of much relevance since it has the permission to reset all the other keys when there’s the need. Personally I consider all keys very important. I have saved my master password in a secret secured file that is convenient to me and I can have access to it when the need arises. This doesn’t seem enough for me so I printed out a hard copy of it and placed in a secured place.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes it is essential to explore ok the steemit community but as a new comer, one needs to learn the basic and fundamental skills on the steem platform so as to be able to go on with some of the activities. One thing I’ve learnt as a new comer is how to transfer steemit token to another steemit user. Below are the steps to follow to successfully transfer steem token from one user to another:

• Click on your avatar icon on the top right hand corner, you’ll see a drop down menu.
• Go ahead and click on wallet from the drop down menu.

• Now click on the first highlighted steem with the drop down menu

• Select transfer from the drop down menu

• A dialogue box box will appear, go ahead and fill the username of the user you’re transferring the steem token to, remember yo enter the amount in the space provided.

• Click on NEXT and you’ll see a confirmation dialogue box make sure the information entered is correct then you click on OK and you’re done after this step .

Do you know how to power up your steem ?
Yes powering up steem is one of the basic skills I’ve learnt in the steemit community Below is the step down procedure to follow to power up your steem:

• Once again, you start by clicking on your avatar icon to bring down a drop down menu.
• Now click on wallet to select it

• Then click on the first highlighted steem with the drop down menu

• Click on power-up to select it

• A pop-up dialogue box will appear, go ahead and fill in the amount you want to power up with and click on power-up

• There will be another pop-up dialogue box for confirmation. Make sure the amount entered is correct before confirming, by hitting on ok.

• Your steem will be powered up
