Good day Steemians. I'm glad to be undertaking another achievement task yet again.
Today's achievement task is on content etiquette and it's one topic that every Steemian should understand.

I find that the topic of content etiquette revolves round plagiarism, citation and general steemit community rule of conduct.

Plagiarism

Well, the concept of plagiarism isn't entirely new to me, having been writing for quite a while.
To simply put it, plagiarism Is passing off someone else's work as yours without giving them credits. It could be inform of a sentence or an entire paragraph, whether direct copying or paraphrasing.
One important thing every content writer should know is that plagiarism is an absolute no-no! It's a criminal act and damages your reputation as a writer. However, even while one tries to avoid plagiarizing people's work, it is also easy to fall into "unintentional plagiarism".
So basically you can avoid plagiarism through adequate citing of sources but again it's always nice if you avoid using other people's work entirely.
And that's the concept of "proof of brain". 100% original content goes to show you're not just a lazy writer and of course new ideas are always a delight to behold.
For images it's advised to use images from whitelisted websites like pixabay and unsplash with appropriately sourced.

Citation

Citation is simply providing adequate sources for information used in the course of writing.
To cite a source isn't simply saying "the information is from source A", for example, but providing adequate links to the website. Below are ways of citing sources. These are done using specific markdown code for citing.

For direct copy and paste
Say I want to cite "Most of the brain isn't loafing. Detailed brain studies haven't found the "non-functioning" 90% of the brain."

"Most of the brain isn't loafing. Detailed brain studies haven't found the "non-functioning" 90% of the brain." Source

If I were paraphrasing.

Detailed brain studies have found that there's no such thing as "non-functioning" 90% of the brain. Source

So the difference with a direct copy and paste is quotation marks.

Citing images.

General steemit community etiquette

Below are some of the community etiquettes I found out.
• Don't post and run, engage with works from other authors. Also reply comments.
• Avoid tag spamming. Use only tags relevant to the content of your post.
•Don't flag a post just because you disagree. Also it's only fair to comment why you flag a post and also remove flags when corrections have been made.
• There's no need to critique a work if it wasn't asked for.
• Use the hashtag NSFW, for post that may be contain nude, or violent or graphic images.

Well that's all I have for this task.
Thanks for reading

Also, I have read the steemit etiquette on steemit community and I'll try my best to steem by them.
