Achievement 1: Introduction of @meelo
Greetings to everyone!
Looking for a place where my interests and community exposure could diverge, I discovered the Steemit community from Youtube. Just today, I came to consider the thought of engaging my content into this amazing community.
Without further ado, I'm Camilo "Meelo" Piezas. I couldn't say many things about myself because I'm still young— to be precise, still at high school and seventeen-year-old (17)— so that quite makes me comically uninteresting aside from being a book nerd, writer, and language enthusiast at this age.
Personal Background
Education, Country
I am born and and raised in Davao City, Philippines. After I graduated elementary school from Brokenshire College in Davao (with valedictory stance), I received a full government scholarship offer from Philippine Science High School and entered a dormitory facility in Dipolog City (473 kilometers away from my hometown).
When quarantine struck, I went home and continued my high school education online. I'm about to enter tenth grade next school year at this institution, and if I get to finish my six-year scholarship, I want to take either BS Psychology or BS Physics in college.
Here are some pictures of mine!
at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, Philippines (December, 2019). I'm the one in red patterned jacket. During that time, we were to attend a national conference.
at Nasugbu, Batangas, Philippines (December 2019). Kinda tall so I had to stand at the back as the yellow, peace-sign guy.
at Davao City, Philippines (June 2021). Pandemic is the worst. My friends and I went for a stop at a 7/11 store.
Interest and Content for the Future
What I look forward for and how is this of my interest?
While studying, I want to have part-time investments on my interests, such as: writing mini-novels, producing content (song, art, or whatever), cooking random things, and editing videos. It will also be good if I get to discover other people's production of arts, literatures, songs, vlogging videos, and cooking recipe to learn more from their experiences and to share my thoughts. This just got into my mind as I grew older because I didn't like to be stuck with BS Psychology or BS Physics as my only choices in the future, so I thought doing my passion can free me more of the hectic requirements of the scholarship I signed up for. As for that, here are some of my interests:
First, I read wide varieties of novels, but I am more into thriller literatures, such as: Modern Prometheus, Crime and Punishment, and Fahrenheit 451. Aside from reading, I usually devote myself too on writing novels and proses, and I want to publish my little works in here if I have the time. Furthermore, knowing the experiences and works of my co-writers could probably be one of my main interests on other Steemians' content posts.
Second, cooking just became a part of my weekly routine and I wanted to share what possibilities our taste buds and native ingredients could do. Last month, I learned to create different noodle dishes, lumpia, tteokbokki (떡볶이), and sushi (寿司) through Youtube, which is a good platform to discover more and to innovate something delicious. I mean, you don't know how much dishes you could make with unused flour if you combine your native ingredients to it. Lol, I didn't even know I can make noodles with just flour and egg until I found that cute video of cat meme cooking some ramen.
It will be good too though if I can look at the cooking interests of other people!
Third, I'm currently obsessed with learning languages. My top goals are Korean, Chinese, and Bahasa Indonesian. I just thought of language-learning as a way to make use of my free time productively during quarantine and to expand my ability to communicate with people of different culture and background. For this part, I wanted to share what interesting things exist in some languages that greatly vary and some learnings I had about speaking culture. By the way, I speak three languages fluently— English, Filipino, and Cebuano. And, to add, I can somewhat say that my six months of learning Korean is already lower intermediate and has an efficient progress on it.
Lastly, editing videos, creating artworks, and producing music are somewhat my random things to do in a day. When I don't have something in my mind, I just film myself speaking into the camera to vlog about something, or I get my paper, pencil, and virtual instruments to write a song or to create an artwork. I don't really have official or formal classes of artworks and singing, so basically, everything I do is inspired by what I watch, I learn, and I discover from the internet. I guess, I will be posting my songs, artworks, and videos in here? Hehe!
How did I learn Steemit, and what do I know about cryptocurrency?
I had no one to point as a current mentor despite knowing someone who taught me this before. I don't know if she is active anymore, yet she is my mother's friend, an auntie of mine, @cinderz. However, in my daring to enter this community, inspired by Youtubers' accounts of experiences, I have finally come here to do Steemit again!
As for cryptocurrency, I'm not really knowledgeable of it aside from the fact that it is an online currency. I would like to learn more about it from other people! As a STEM student myself, I know that it is important to invest on such knowledge nowadays; because the world is not moving backwards and many vital transactions are done through online.

Hello Sir @rizwan12, may I know how long it will take for me to get verified? I'm just a little curious
