What is a computer?

Computer is an electronic machine that works under a set of instructions or commands given to it by the user, and it accepts data, processes data and brings out information through the available out. Printer

Everyone today uses computers both in the office and at home.

And we have three types of computer namely:

• Digital computer
• Analogue computer
• Hybrid computer

(1) Analogue computer:

• These computers that are been designed to process only analogue data. And the data are continuous data that always change continuously and they can't have discrete values. This type of computer accepts data directly from the measuring devices and it doesn't convert the data into numbers or codes before processing.

(2) Digital computer:

• These computers are highly speeded and there are been designed to perform calculations and operations. And it also accepts raw data in form of binary numbers (0-1) or digits and processes it with the programs that are saved in its memory to bring out the output (Information).

(3) Hybrid computer

• These computers are designed with the features of both analogue and digital computers. And there are fast Like analogue computer and it has a memory and accuracy like that of digital computer. It processes both continuous and discrete
