I have written my achievement 1, which talks about introduction about myself. Now i am going over to achievement 2, which talks about basic security in steem. I will like to go further by explaining briefly about the meaning of basic security in steem.

SECURITY AND ITS NECESSITY

According to Wikipedia, security simply means freedom from, or resilience against, potential harm (or other unwanted coercive change) caused by others. Basically, we secure hardwares (things that are tangible like humans, properties, etc) and software (intangible things as regards to the internet) from destructive attacks which may hamper or destroy the wares as aforementioned. With the rate of technological advancement in our present society, cyber-attacks have become the order of the day. Hence, steemit developed protective security measures to incapacitate the intrusion of cyber attackers in her community.

STEEMIT SECURITY MEASURES

Steemit security measures are referred to as STEEMIT KEYS. Based on default demands for activation 2, I should be able to know what steemit keys are and how they are applied.
First, steemit keys can be referred to as codes that comprises letters and digits (randomly arranged) which is used to gain a secured access into one's steemit account. There are four major keys on steemit, they are:

Posting key
Active key
Owner key
Memo key

FUNCTIONS OF STEEMIT KEYS

Master password:

This is the key that gave birth to every other keys. It is also known as the Seed Password and is very important as it generates the other passwords.

Posting key:

The posting key allows you to log in to your steemit account, post, comment, vote and resteem.

Active key:

The active key is used for transferring funds, trading, powering up/powering down Steem Power changing account settings like profile picture,
and placing orders.

Owner key:

It is a powerful key which does almost everything that the posting key (post, comment, vote) and active key does (transfer funds, change settings). It is also used to vote for teem witnesses.

Memo key:

The Memo Key is used for handling private messages, decrypted and encrypted transaction memos.

HOW I SAVED MY STEEMIT KEYS

I obtained my steemit keys as a pdf document which I later saved in a secured and easily accessible folder so that I can conveniently assess them when the need arises.

PROCEDURES FOR FUND TRANSFER ON STEEMIT

I. Log in to your Steemit account.
II. Click on Wallet.

POWERING UP

To power up steem as the name implies is to convert liquid steem to an investment state called steem power (SP).

HOW TO POWER UP

i. Log in to your Steemit account.
ii. Click on Wallet.
iii. Click on steem as you did in fund transfer.
