Achievement 3 by @mominacheema07 Task : Content Etiquette

Hello steemit family!

I am hoping you all are in good health and are staying safe. Alhamdulillah My Achievement 1 and Achievement 2 is verified and now it’s time to do achievement 3 which is regarding content etiquettes.

So today we are going to learn about content sharing etiquettes and about plagiarism. Following are the basic content sharing etiquettes:

Rule No. 1: Always try sharing your own created content based on your own ideas without copying other people’s work. Your own work will have originality and value as people appreciate original content and steemit value it’s users who are creative and present/share content created by themselves.
Rule No. 2: If you are sharing work of anyone else due to any reason, clearly mention their name to give them credit and add a link of the source.
For example I liked the following picture which I think is relevant to my post today so I am adding it here with its source:

stop-plagiarism-conceptual-illustration-global-social-problem-open-hand-text-163759304.jpg
Source

Rule No. 3:Never share anyone else's work with your name. I repeat never share anyone’s work with your own name! it’s a crime and it can have serious implications for you. There are many tools, websites to check plagiarisms and if you are caught of such heinous act you will be punished for it.

Now let’s try to understand what is plagiarism?

"to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own
to use (another's production) without crediting the source
to commit literary theft
to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source."
Source

It is clear from the above quotation that to use any one else's work, pictures, ideas and even writings without their consent/permission and without crediting the source is plagiarism.
Many people are not even aware of the fact that copying someone's else work is a crime and many people use other people's work to gain materialistic gains, fame or even to get good grades.
Whether people commit plagiarism intentionally or unintentionally in both the scenarios its a crime and there can be a serious penalty for it.
So we shall try our best to refrain from plagiarism and give the due credit to the creator by mentioning his/her correct name, sharing the source link and always take the permission of sharing someone's else work where ever its applicable and possible.

I request all who read this article to refrain from plagiarism, be creative and always point out the users who are sharing content created by others with their own name.

"I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them"

Good bye for now.
Stay safe all of you
