Joining this platform is indeed of great pleasure.. Having completed my achievement 1 task,today I will be doing my achievement 2 task..
In this task,I will be talking about Basic Security on Steemit

Security is important and the platform have provided passwords which are important both undergoing essential activities in the platform and protecting your information from hackers or someone who has malicious intention towards your account.

In Steem account there are different passwords for different functions,after downloading the pdf at initial log in,one should be able to study these keys and distinguish each from another based on their usage..

Today,I am getting the opportunity to explain these keys and thanks to @cryptokannon for the guidelines he has provided for newcomers.

Question 1:Have you retrieve all your keys on Steemit?

Ans:Yes,I have retrieved all my keys needed for my steemit account and have them carefully safeguarded.

Question 2:Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Ans: Yes I know and understand the keys' functions and restrictions.
First,there are five keys provided, which are,
Private Posting key,Private Active key,Private Memo Key,Private Owner key,Master Password

Based on the usage;

Private Posting Key

This key is used to login into one's account,it allows the user of the account to post,edit,comment,vote,follow and other related social actions on Steemit that requires the key.

Private Active Key

This key is used for more sensitive actions in the wallet. They are used for task like fund transfer,steem dollar conversion,powering up,powering down,placing market order and other related wallet activities.

Private Memo Key

This key is used when transferring funds to encrypt or decrypt memos.

Private Owner Key

This key is essential in resetting all other keys. In a situation where one's account is tempered by a third party,you can recover your account using the private owner key within 30 days. This key should be properly safeguarded.

Master Password

This is an important password used in generating new password and pdf document. It is essential that you don't disclose this password to anyone.

Question 3:How do you plan to keep your master password?

Ans;Given the importance of the master password,I downloaded the pdf containing this password and stored it on my google drive using strong password that I can remember.

Question 4:Do you know how to transfer your Steem token to another Steem user account?

Ans: Sure,log into your Steem profile first, then at the right side of the top,click the wallet option,the new page will open ,if login already into your wallet account I will go ahead with the transfer,if not you will login to your wallet account with your user name and required key(active key).After that you should click on the on Steem menu option and will get transfer option.
Clicking the transfer option,the next thing is to write the user id of whom you want to transfer the Steem to and put the steem count ,then click next.
After that ,the next is to confirm the transfer by clicking ok.

Question 5:Do you know how to power up your Steem?

Ans:Sure, it's almost the same procedure stated in my previous answer,but now you should click on the power up option,then in the next pop up input the amount then click on power up..
