what is plagiarism
For me I will first say something about content etique as it is a method of making our writing readable and understandable for readers and also to be free from plagiarism.
Plagiarism is a method of copying or writing from another person's work with out the consent of the person or copying from a site with citeing the source for reader to understand.
Plagiarism has really been a very big problem to us as we practice it in our everyday life but thanks that this very interesting topic is raised here so that new users can get to know the meaning and consequences of engaging in plagiarism.
types of plagiarism
Self plagiarism:this a very well occurent type of plagiarism that we should be very careful of because this is atype of plagiarism that occurs when we copy or recycle our past publication and thus occurs mostly in school as a student will copy his or her old work in place of the new assessment given to him or her or trust to mix part of it.
Global plagiarism:this type of plagiarism is really a bad one and it also is mostly done by students and it is done by copying an entire text of another person with his or her permission.
Direct plagiarism:this is a type of plagiarism that involves copying someone's work into your own without changing any of the words or citing the source.
Paraphrasing this is really among one of the types of plagiarism which means putting in a piece of someone's writing in your own work without citation of source or quotes.
Patchwork plagiarismthis is another type of plagiarism which can occur when we copy from many source to make our work or it can occur by copying prases, passages from many source.
effects of plagiarism
Plagiarism is really a bad thing to engage our self into as it will lead to downrating of our posts or lose of mark, but in this section of this post I will be putting down some effects of plagiarism both here in steemit and also during exam period.
- Plagiarism can lead to the cancellation of our work
- It can lead to lose of mark
- It prevents students from developing their sense of thinking
- In steemit plagiarism can lead to not getting enough vote.
ways to avoid plagiarism
Plagiarism can be prevented in so many ways and I will drop some of them here in this very section of this post.
- Always try to use range of source
- Always try to develop your own thinking and writing skills
- Use quatation marks:this is mostly used when you want to add something important that was said by someone in your post and you have to put this sign (>) and then give a space and add the text.tgis is a sample.
Steemit is the first online platform that is built in a blockchain
- Always use a plagiarism checker to check your works after publication.
Hello @hariadi I have edited my post and corrected the mistake.
