Achievement 2: Basic Security on Steemit platform.

Greetings great Steemians......I trust we all are doing fine. I am proceeding to do my ACHIEVEMENT 2 TASK, as I have done my ACHIEVEMENT I and have been verified. This achievement's task, is solely on the subject of security of ones account on this platform. Security in the Steemit platform is an essential measure which all her members must take in order to secure/protect your account.

Below are the very much essential question,which every steemian should be able to answer and practice for the securement of ones account.

Question 1

Have you retrieved all your keys on Steemit?

Answer:

I have retrieved all my keys,and backed them upon cloud.

Question 2

Do you know each of these keys function and instructions?

Answer:

Yes I do....

Posting key

This is a key for activities on the platform like; commenting, posting,resteeming, editing etc.

Active key

This is a key meant for sensitive tasks like performing of transactions ( transfer of funds, power up/down, conversion of steem dollars, voting for witnesses etc.

Owner key

This is the most powerful key, in my own words I will call it a master key because itcan be used to reset all other keys and recover an account if need be.

Memo key

Is a cryptographic key for memos....(Encryption and decryption of memos).

Master password

Is a password issued to a user at the sign up process(Registration). A master password can be used to generate other keys, therefore should be kept safe.

Question 3

How do you plan to keep your master password?

Answer:

I have downloaded it already as a PDF, and backed it up on my drive.

Question 4

Do you know how to transfer steem token to another steem user?

Answer:

yes I do, and below are the steps.

1:Go to profile
2:Select wallet
3:Below the dialogue box "BUY STEEM", there is a drop-down icon, click on it and select transfer
4:Input the necessary details for transactions (receivers'username and amout.) And then proceed.

Question 5

Do you know how to power-up your STEEM?

Answer:

Yes I do...steps are below.

1:Go to your profile
2: select wallet
3:Under the same dialogue box "BUY STEEM", click on the drop-down menu icon and select POWER-UP
4: input username and amount, then proceed.
