So, I saw a comment about this newcomers group and the achievements you can participate in. I'm not sure how much this benefits my account, but I'll go ahead and participate. Why not right? Below are the questions with my answers!
Your name and age
My name is Nolan and I am 30 years old as of July 2020.
A country where you reside now
I currently live in the USA.
Your area of work or your study.
I currently work as a software engineer. I mostly do contract and freelance work. But, I recently helped to co-found a startup. I work primarily with Ruby and Python, but I do like to experiment and learn other languages as well. Elixir and Crystal being my two favorites right now.
Your experience with crypto
I have been following crypto for a long time now. I'd say about 7 years or so. However, I was not able to buy in early. :(
Your hobby and passion, dislike
My hobby is tech and computers. I love coding and I love working on electronics. I also enjoy playing guitar.
What sort of posts written by others are you looking for
I'm looking for tech and crypto related posts. But, Id really like to see programming related content that can teach me things too.
What sort of posts do you think you'll be creating (these can change, so don't feel locked in.)
Similar content to what I said I'm looking for. Programming, entrepreneur, educational, and some personal stuff as well.
How you found Steemit and what you hope to accomplish here.
I found Steemit years ago. But, I took a couple years break when I lost the keys to my old acct.
Hey Nolan @nolyoi you are @treepi, right? Welcome back, buddy! How on earth did you lose your key? 😅 Good to see you. Hope everything is great my friend. Steem community is a little bit different than before as most have moved to Hive, I hope you will create some games for steem community as we don't have any now here, I went to Hive just to play their games like Dcity which is not much a game but give me good ROI 😄Good to see you really, hope to see you around more 😊

Yeah that was me! How have you been!? Surprised you remember me. I'm also on hive with the same username as my new Steem acct. I'll be posting on Steem and Hive.
I want to write up a little web app that will allow us to post to both Steem and Hive at the same time. I haven't seen any tools that allow people to do that. Have you?
And Steem def seems a lot different. Seems like there are A LOT more people from non-Western countries.
I also just started dCity. Mine is super small and not making really anything right now. :P

@nolyoi I'm great just a little bit busy the past few days as my son catch a cold and I get just a little time to come online. I remember you as I used to check your blog for crypto-related stuff back then, and you sometimes upvote me with tipu curate and often tag me on Twitter for some giveaway stuff lol.
Leofinance is good if you going to post on Hive.
This one, I read somewhere that its not good for the platform SEO as they're are multiple duplicate contents at more than 1 place, google will get confuse and rank the platform lower on alexa or something, I forgot.. also not sure if its true. Is cross-posting plagiarism? Is it good behavior? Further thoughts! but its good that you going to create that apps to post to both platform as some of the users still doing that actually although most steem/hive users oppose that for some reason as I mentioned above.
Yea steem is now attracted to people from Asian mostly..
dCity is still great even if you just get started, the creator gerber has a lot of ways to make it sustainable for a long time and he is not the type of person that will do some rug pull if the game goes south. Good to see you back and see you around more! 🤗

Haha yeah. I first found Steemit it way back in late 2016 or early 2017. Sometime around then. I disappeared for this last year or so. Now, I'm going to try to build up an account again!
