Is Steem dead?

I've made about 5 good quality posts in a row and have received 0 rewards and maybe 4-5 upvotes total.

What happened here? Is this place really this dead? Or am I just missing something important?

Sorry for the short post. But, this is not how I remember Steemit at all. :(

Hi! I'm a bot, and this answer was posted automatically. Check this post out for more information.

Hello friend, I understand how you feel considering the number of uncurated post and lack of support here and I can assure that steemit is very much alive and waxing strong. It's seems you had an account previously and you signed up with a new one?, anyways I am not entirely sure.

However I will like to point out a few things that will help you and I grow in this community.

  • Introduction post are very vital for every new user, it serves as the first contact with the community as a whole and you made an unverified introduction post, so I think making a verified post with a picture of yourself holding a sign stating your username, and date of registration.
Here is what mine looks like👇

Your introduction post must contain this image.

  • I have read all of your posts and you seem to only create developers related content, stuffs about app development and all, you could join a community that best suites your niche and make the best out of it. I'd be interested to learn the basis of computer programming and open source development. Maybe I be as good as you 😃

  • Another way you could make the best of steemit is to invest in steem power, with enough sp you will have more influence in the community.

Aside from all these, you can reach out and make friends here, after all it's a social media platform and making friends is one of the fastest way to grow.

These are a few ideas that I believe will help you gain more exposure on the this wonderful community. I have followed you and look forward to your future contents.

Thanks

Yes, I'm a programmer. Steem used to have quite a vibrant dev community. And I can't seem to find it now.

And yes I was a member on Steem back in 2017-2018. A lot has changed since then. I'm just looking for some like minded people. Maybe some communities related to tech and dev. I just cant seem to find it. :P
