Hay Steemit's best friend all, in my post @notacryp this time will write about how or code of ethics in producing good content. This post I wrote aims to complete my task in Achievement 3. Please read my post until it runs out, and hopefully, this post is useful for me and you guys all of me.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism or often called plagiarism is the plagiarism or taking of essays, opinions, and so on from others and making it as if it were an essay and an opinion of its own. Plagiarism can be considered a criminal offense for stealing someone else's copyright. In short, plagiarism is the theft of someone else's essay. It can also be interpreted as taking essays (opinions and so on) from others who are then made as if it were his own.
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited in the form of writing, images, or videos, therefore we need to avoid it so that the content we produce will have a unique and special value. Copying or reproducing the work of others without the permission of the owner is a copyright infringement so that we can be prosecuted with criminal law.
However, there are several ways that we can apply so that our content or writing is considered plagiarism even though we quote it from the work of others, here's how or example:
One of the interesting places to visit in Indonesia is Borobudur Temple. "Borobudur also transcribed Borobudur is a 7th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple in Magelang Regency, not far from the town of Muntilan, in Central Java, Indonesia. It is the world's largest Buddhist temple. The temple consists of nine stacked platforms, six square and three circulars, topped by a central dome. It is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. The central dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues, each seated inside a perforated stupa." Source "Borobudur was built in mandala style that reflects the universe in Buddhist beliefs. The structure of the building is box-shaped with four entrances and a circular center point. When viewed from the outside to the inside is divided into two parts, namely the world's nature which is divided into three zones on the outside, and nirvana nature in the central part." Source
The example post above has one original sentence:
One of the interesting places to visit in Indonesia is Borobudur Temple.
The next sentence is copy/paste from the source without changes and thus quoted:
"Borobudur also transcribed Borobudur is a 7th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple in Magelang Regency, not far from the town of Muntilan, in Central Java, Indonesia. It is the world's largest Buddhist temple. The temple consists of nine stacked platforms, six square and three circulars, topped by a central dome. It is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. The central dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues, each seated inside a perforated stupa." Source.
The last sentence is information cited from different sources:
"Borobudur was built in mandala style that reflects the universe in Buddhist beliefs. The structure of the building is box-shaped with four entrances and a circular center point. When viewed from the outside to the inside is divided into two parts, namely the world's nature which is divided into three zones on the outside, and nirvana nature in the central part." Source.
For example shooting and inclusion of sources based on the applicable rules on the Steemit Platform are as follows.
- How it's written:
So that can be written about the provision in taking some of the work of others by not eliminating the original source because it is an appreciation to the owner of the content we take.
Thank you so much to @cryptokannon who have taught me as a beginner to contribute to Steemit and also to @radjasalman who have translated posts on how to make Achievement 3 posts from @cryptokannon that originally spoke English into Indonesian so that I could easily understand them.
