Good day my fellow steemit friends, I am very happy to be here once again. I sincerly appreciate @emmybless for the help in completing my achievement 1 which happens to be my introductory post.
Today is another day which I pen down another post which is my achievement 2 post on (Basic security on steemit) and is based on the way we can secure and protect our keys.
Steemit has advised all of us to keep our keys safe especially our master password. The keys are provided in alphanumeric characters in other to make it hard for hackers to compromise.
Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?
Absolutely yes! I downloaded the keys in PDF format on my phone while also taking my time to carefully copy them out.

Do you know each of these keys, functions and restrictions?

Yes, all the keys in steemit are assigned for a specific operation.
The following are keys and their functions:

Master password
This is the most powerful key used to generate other keys. So the master password is important to keep safe and prevent account hacking and token stealing. It can never be replaced if lost!

Posting key
The posting key allows users to comment, vote, edit and follow other users. It is also ised to log into steemit.

Active key
This is the main key used for tasks such as transferring funds, voting for witnesses, setting profile details and also for converting steemit dollars to steem.

Owner key
The owner key is a key only used when needed. It is also a key that can change other keys.

Memo key
This is used for sending encrypted messages. During transfer of tokens, this key can be used to send hidden messages.

How do you plan to keep your Master password?
I saved it on my mobile device in a pdf format. I also stop it on my Google drive. In addition, for specific reasons, I wrote them down on a piece of paper and saved it on my file bag.

Do you Know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes, there are steps involved in transferring tokens to another user. To perform this operation, we will navigate to the steemit wallet and perform this transaction.

Step1
Login into your steemit wallet account by navigating to the top right corner, click on the user option and a drop down button will appear. Click on wallet which will redirect to the steemit wallet

Step2
Click on a navigator arrow shown under STEEM (0.00 STEEM), and a menu option will drop. Click on "transfer_

Step3
Enter the steem account you want to send the token to and the amount of token you want to send. You can optionally drop a message in the "Memo" section. Then click the "Next" button at the bottom left corner.

Step 4
Lastly, imput your active key which will verify the transaction to the receiving account and boom! You have successfully transferred your token.

Do you Know how to power up your steem?
Yes I do. This operation is also done from your steemit wallet.
Below are the following steps:
Step1
Click on the navigator arrow shown under STEEM (0.00 STEEM), and a menu will drop, click on Power up

Step 2:
Enter the amount of steem you want to power up, then click on the ** power up** button. In the last step, you verify the transaction by adding your active key. And its all done!
