PLAGIARISM
It's obvious the word plagiarism is not a new term to us but the number one crime every steemit user is told to avoid committing plagiarism. Users of steemit ought to be creative.Plagiarism is content theft and any content you get that is not yours,you have to put the source to give credit to who deserves it not receiving another person's credit.
What Is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism can be defined simply as the use of another person's work or content without permission or acknowledgement. It's illegal, it's stealing, it's privacy, it's fraud.

When ever there's a need to use another person's work it's expected that you quote the original author and perhaps the source of where the information was gotten from.This indicates to users that you are not the original owner of the ideas.But it tells your audience that you have made research on that and thought it wise to share your findings with them. Therefore, to plagiarize means to send out someone's ideas, creativity or photos without due credit to the source.And these acts are criminal offence and punishable according to the law of plagiarism.

Types Of Plagiarism
Plagiarism are of different types which will be talked about below;
Self Plagiarism
This refers to the word for word copying of someone's work and putting it as your own without giving credit to the original owner.
Complete Plagiarism
This is copying the full content of another author only changing the name of the author and inputting yours in place of the original author.
Paraphrasing Plagiarism
Another academic piracy.This occurs when you lift phrases from a source without using quotation marks or using synonyms for the author's language while keeping the general meaning.
Accidental plagiarism
A form of plagiarism where you are not aware that what you are publishing has already been used .This can happen to anyone .But it is advisable to have proper knowledge on whatever you are publishing.

How To Avoid Plagiarism
It's feels great to be creative to write and publish articles from your own ideas.~scribbr outlined four steps to avoid plagiarism in your content. They are as follows;

1. Keep records of the sources you used in your research.
2. Paraphrase or quote from your source never forget to add your own ideas.
3. Credit the original author in any content by putting the source of the information.
4. Use a plagiarism checker before you publish any content.

I have also read and understood the steemit content etiquette and I am doing my very best to applying them . Learning is a continuous process , just make these rules your habit.
Thanks for stopping by my post, much love to you all from this side.
