ACHIEVEMENT 2: How to retrieve all the STEEMIT keys and password

This tool allows you to retrieve (both Public and Private) Owner Keys, Posting Keys, Active Keys, and Memo Keys from Your Steem Master Password. Once you retrieve the keys, please do remember to close the window (or clear the output).

When you finish registering your Steem account, you're given your master password, a single complicated string of characters you need to remember to log in to your Steem account. However, in reality, your Steem account is protected by multiple keys/passwords which each have a specific purpose/usage.

At the end of this tutorial you will have learn how to recover all your private keys.

NOTE: If you don't manage your keys correctly, you are putting your account at risk. And If you get hacked you are giving them access to every key you own on Steemit.

Let me start from the types of the STEEMIT Private keys before we know their meanings and their uses.

5• Master Password

THEIR MEANING AND USES

POSTING KEY:

Is Used to log in to apps such as Steemit.com and perform social actions such as posting, commenting, and voting.
The posting key is used exclusively for submitting posts, applying upvotes and downvotes, selecting and deselecting followers, muting accounts and claiming reward balances.

MEMO KEY:

Used to decrypt private transfer memos and also to read/create memos.

ACTIVE KEY:

It is used for monetary and wallet related actions, such as transferring tokens or powering STEEM up and down.

OWNER KEY:

This key is used to reset all your other keys. It is recommended to keep it offline at all times. If your account is compromised, use this key to recover it. And also it is the third and most powerful key type, with the ability to change literally anything on your account.

MASTER PASSWORD:
The seed password used to generate this document. Do not share this key and Don't use the master password to log into steemit.com or any other steem application.
