ACHIEVEMENT 2 TASK BY @omarionjnr : BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT

Hi,

You are highly welcome to my achievement 2 post. This is where I would write a response to the achievement task
BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT.

Security generally refers to the state or guarantee of of being free from harm and danger.so basically being secured means being safe,and that is what we will be taking about in this achievement 2 post.
Basically there are special keys which are all used for different purposes and tasks. These keys must be only kept by user or owner only in order to keep it secured.

Here are answers to the questions below

Question 1
Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Yes I have,I have saved a copy of offline right on my mobile device just after my registration.
It includes the active keys,owner keys and my posting keys .

Question 2
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Yes I do,

First of all,the active keys: it is can be used activities such as;powering up and powering down steem,placing of market orders,transferring of funds,voting for witnesses,updating of profiles and converting of steem into dollars etc.

Secondly,the owner keys;it is the most powerful key of all.it is used to recover account that have been hacked by other parties back to their rightful owners.

Again,the posting key;it is used for several purposes such as;to make or create post on our accounts,edit post,comment on posts,vote others,and to follow others etc.

Lastly,the pound sign(#): it is used to encrypt a memo
The memo key is use in encrypting and decrying memos in the process of transferring funds.

Question 3
How do you plan to keep your master password?
I have downloaded the keys and store it in both pdf form and in my gmail account.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another user’s account?
Yes I do ,
Below are the steps to transfer steem tokens to other user’s account

1. Click on the icon at the top right and a drop down menu will appear

1. Select and click on wallet from the drop down menu

1. Click on the steem option with the arrow pointing downward.

1. Select transfer from the pop up menu

1. Fill in the name of the user you want to transfer the tokens to in the ‘to’ space and also enter the amount in the ‘amount ‘ space.

1. Click next and then confirm your transaction

Do you know how to power up your steem?
Yes I do,
Below are the steps to power up your steem:

1. click on your profile
   

1. Select wallet

1. Click on the steem option with the arrow pointing downward

2. Click power up

1. Enter the amount of steem you want to power up and then click power up.
