ACHIEVEMENT 3 PLAGIARISM TASK: PRESENTING SOMEONE ELSE'S IDEA IS A FORM OF CHEATING.

Thanks to the steem curators for verifying both my achievement 1 and 2 posts. This is my achievement 3 task presenting on plagiarism.

Plagiarism is an act of presenting someone else's work or idea as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement.

Plagiarism can be done in different ways. It can be done in;

1. Direct Plagiarism
   This is the delibrate act of copying a post word-to-word without including quotation marks or any reference and attribution.

2. Self Plagiarism
   This is when a steemian resubmits his or her own work in different communities for votes. This is unacceptable.

3. Mosaic Plagiarism
   This is when an author borrows a phrase from a site without attaching quotation marks. The phrase is posted same as how it was copied from the site.

4. Accidental Plagiarism
   Almost same as mosaic plagiarism but in this case, a phrase is taken from a site without without citation of the phrase. A source or link must be attached to serve as a reference.

Plagiarism should not be tolerated since it is a bad act.
