Hello great steemians.I am here to present my Achievement 4 post.Achievement posts offer me the opportunity to learn new things every other day.

APPLYING MARKDOWNS

Markdowns are features that make our post on Steemit to look very beautiful, attractive and captivating.They include but not limited to:

•Tables
•Quotations
•Justified alignment
•Dividing texts into two cells
•Headings etc.

I will write a folktale of Igbo extraction and will apply markdowns to it.Here is the story.

THE SON OF A FARMER THAT BECAME A HUNTER

Once upon a time.There lived a couple in the village of Itu.The couple are farmers and they have only one child:a male child named EZE.

EZE grew up and started helping his parents in the farm.His parents were peasant farmers and as such were very poor.They needed a breakthrough in life.

After a while,his parents granted his wish and allowed him to be a Hunter.Eze started and continued to enjoy his hunting business.He always kill at least one animal per day.He never came back empty handed from his hunting adventure.

Each time EZE comes back,he will give a portion of the animal he killed to the mother for use in the kitchen and would then sell the other at the market.This pattern continued for a long time.

One day,EZE went for hunting,he was surprised that he is yet to see even a single animal to kill.He was angry, despaired and frustrated.

Suddenly,he saw a bird and rose his catapult to kill it but the bird started singing in a melodious way which made EZE not to kill it.He took the bird home.

On getting home,he brought the bird out and the bird sang to EZE's parents,they danced and danced and danced.

Interestingly,the king of Itu village has been terribly down with sickness over a long period of time.It is a heart attack and as such the king does not even step out of the palace.All effort to cure the king has ended in futility.

EZE's father together with EZE decided to take the bird to the king.They were refused entrance by the palace guards.However,on bringing out the bird the place guards danced to their satisfaction and then granted them entrance to see the sick king.

On seeing the king,they brought out the bird.The bird sang and to the surprise of all and sundry the king began to dance:someone that has been lying on the bed for over six months.

The asked EZE and his father not to go home again.The King divided his kingdom into two and have one part to EZE and his family.

Wow,the poor farmers is now a wealthy man just because he allowed his son,EZE to be a hunter. Being a hunter had brought them luck and breakthrough.
