Achievement 2 @pasindukd Task : Basic Security on Steemit (Repost)

Hi Everyone! Today I am gonna write about Basic Security on steemit. Security is a must needed thing in all the works in our day to day life. We all know steemit uses many keys such as posting key, active key, owner key and memo key. Because using same key in all the activities can be risk to the steemit account.

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?
Yeah, That was the thing that I did first when I joined steemit. We should download the PDF of Steem keys when we join to steemit. So, I've retrieved all the keys from the steem wallet.

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Yes, I have been learning the functions and restrictions of steemit keys from the Newcomer's guide made by @cryptokannon. And I will be able to learn and remember all the functions and restriction.There are 4 kinds of keys on steemit.

Posting Key
This is the key that is used to login to steemit. And we can use this key to follow someone, resteem, post, comment edit or delete.

Owner key
This is the most important Permission key in your steem account. It gives the full control of your Steem account. We should only use is when needed. And it can change any key in the steemit account. So we should keep it safely.

Active key
The Active key is used to transfer steem tokens to another account, vote for witness, power up or power down. So, this also should be kept in a safe place.

Memo key
This steem password is only can be used for Private Messaging and used to encrypt or decrypt private messages sent and received via your Steemit account.

How do you plan to keep your master password?
Master password is the key that has been given to us by steemit in sign up. If we lost our master password we will not be able to recover our steemit account. So I stored it as a saved password of my browser. And I saved it on mobile notes.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?.
Yes I know there are few steps.
Step 1. Go to your wallet

Step 2. Now click on your steem tokens, And then select on Transfer.

Step 3. Then Enter the Steemit username to whom you want to send the steem tokens.
After that enter the amount of steem tokens you want to transfer.
If you want you can write a message with it.

Step 4. This operation requires your Active Key .
Type your active key and Sign In.

Now you have transferred your steem tokens to another steem user account.

Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
Yes, We can power up our steem by converting our steem tokens into steempower.
Step 1. Go to your wallet. Then Click on your Steem. And Then Click on POWER UP.

Step 2. After that enter the amount of Steem tokens that you want to power up. And Then Click On Power Up.

Step 3. To Confirm convert, Click On Ok

Step 4. Type your Active key and sing in.

Now you have successfully completed Powering Up
