I am very happy to be a part of steemit because I learn this everyday and I also know how to do some things have never before so am greatful to steemit for this opportunity and right now am preparing my Archievement 3 post which is based on"plagiarism" which is a very big offence especially here on steemit.
PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is defined as the act of stealing, cribbing and copying of someone work or words and making it as your own. it's also the presenting of someone else word or ideas as your own without the consent of the owner before making it as your own.
TYPE Of PLAGIARISM
1.
Direct plagiarism: Direct plagiarism is the photo copy of someone else's work with attribution and quotation marks.
2.
Global plagiarism: This is the process where someone takes an entire piece of someone else work and present it as his or her own work.
3.
Self plagiarism: Self plagiarism is when someone copy's what someone else has written by making it look like it's written by him or her, for example when a musician copy a song that someone else has written then presenting it as his own song.
4.
Accidental plagiarism: This is when someone unintentionally copy a source by using similar words or sentence without attribution.
5.
Complete plagiarism: This is the most highest of all the plagiarism where someone takes what someone else created and paste it as his or her own, just like how a student copy's what his follow student has written then summit it as his or her own work.
HOW CAN I AVOID PLAGIARISM?
1.
Do not copy someone else work
2.
Develop your own work and idea
3.
Use quotation marks
4.
Check if your work is free from plagiarism before posting it
5.
Keep good quality notes
PENALTY FOR PLAGIARISM IN STEEMIT
1.
It can lead to one losing his account
2.
Once found quality of plagiarism your rewards will be down voted by 20%
3.
A plagiarism victim will not be allowed to participate in any contest under steemit.
