In an interesting demonstration of bipartisanship, the House casted a ballot predominantly Wednesday to compose into regulation a prohibition on U.S. imports of Russian oil and energy items that President Joe Biden forced to rebuff Moscow for its intrusion of Ukraine.
The regulation, which gave a 414 to 17 vote, presently heads to the Senate, which hasn't shown when it would think about the action. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said pioneers would need to talk with the Biden organization first.
House endorsement of the action came the day after Biden said he would sign a request prohibiting imports of all Russian energy items in the furthest down the line work to tighten up sanctions over the intrusion.
