What Is Plagiarism?
A question that refers to many parties. Plagiarism can be found in many fields, professions and occupations. Plagiarism offers many conveniences so that you can achieve instant results.
In the creative industry, for example, plagiarism can be found ranging from professionals and amateurs. In the case of amateurs some people may be able to justify this as long as what is done is not detrimental to some parties, but for professional cases, some parties will certainly be very disadvantaged.

"Istilah plagiat berasal dari bahasa Inggris plagiarism atau plagiary serta dalam bahasa Latin plagiarius yang artinya penculik atau penjiplak. Jadi plagiarisme atau plagiat adalah tindakan mencuri (gagasan/karya intelektual) orang lain dan mengklaim atau mengumumkannya sebagai miliknya" - Putra, 2011

Based on the kompasiana.com posts, there are 5 types of plagiarism :

  1. Complete Plagiarism
Copying and tracing the entire contents of someone else's work word for word as his own work without changing the contents of the original work at all, even the punctuation is not altered.
  1. Partial Plagiarism
Combine some writings from several sources. In this type of plagiarism, the plagiarist also writes a little of his own ideas to be combined with the combined writing.

  2. Minimalist Plagiarism
Write other people's concepts, ideas, ideas in their own words and their style. They Indeed it seems this is okay. But actually this is plagiarism too, it is still considered stealing someone's ideas and research results

  1. Self-Plagiarism
Where the author recycles his previous writings which have been published but do not include the source of his previous writings. Writing that has been published even though the copyright is by the author, however, belongs to the public (public domain), so the use of excerpts / reviews / ideas that have been published must be notified to the reader.

  1. Authorship
Where one party involved in the research intentionally does not mention the other party from the research work carried out. For example, a student and supervisor conducts research research, one of them publishes their research article without including the name of his colleague who contributed to the research. Source

So be careful when you want to make a work, because there may be some parties who will feel disadvantaged
