Achievement 2 BASIC SECURITY ON STEEM by @rudylove

Hi There!! I'm happy to be with you guys again and i must confess i am having a wonderful expirience on the steemit platform.
I want to use this opportunity to thank the admins for verifying my achievement 1 and making me elegible for this other task. I wish to also thank @cryptokannon for providing guidelines and not forgetting my mentor @echamroland for his endless support.

Question 1.

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Yes i downloaded the keys and the day i created my steemit account and saved it on my laptop, printed a copy out, backed it up on my google drive.

Question 2

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions

The pdf I downloaded on the day I created my password contains a number of keys with numerous functions. These are examined as seen below;

The Master key.
The master key is like the mother key. Mother key in the sense that it can be used to generate all the other keys. It should therefore be kept jealously.

The Posting Key

This is the most widely used key on steemit as it is used to login to your steemit account, Make a post, upvoting, down voting, commenting, editing and muting an account.

The Memo Key.

This key is rarely used but it does not mean it does not have a function. It is used to encrypting and decrypting Memos when transfering funds.

The Active Key.

The Active key is mostly used to validate financial transactions on steemit. These financial transactions may include; The transfer of steem, power up, coverting SBDs to steem, transfering SBDs to other accounts, powering down, Voting for witnesses. It is of utmost importance.

The Owner key.
it is rated as one of the Most important keys on steemit. Eventhough it is rarely used, its function can not be underestimated.It can be used to recover our accounts and can be used to change the other keys.

Question 3.

How do you plan to keep your master password?

The Master key which is a thing not to play with, i have stored it on my laptop, printed a copy out, backed it up on my google drive. all these measures are taken to make sure the passwords don't get missing.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes i can as seen in the screenshots bellow.
When you click on wallet, You click on steem as seen bellow

Next is you click on transfer

After inserting the steemit user you wish to transfer steem to, you input the amount and click on next as seen above.
Next step,

You end up by validating your transaction using your private active key as seen bellow

Question 5

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM??

Yes i can power up my steem as seen in the screenshots bellow

You begin by clicking on wallet and in the next page, you click on power up as seen bellow.

at this stage you input the amount of steem you wish to powerup and click on power up. To validate this financial transaction, We will use our private active key as seen bellow.
