Greetings and hello everyone!
I hope you all are well and are safe and sound from the pandemic going on. This is going to be my second post in this #steemit community. I have been using this platform for a few weeks now and have been exploring many communities, acquiring new knowledge from them, learning new vocabulary and also improving my writing skills, and it’s been fun throughout and I’m enjoying it a lot.
So, as I have already acquired my first achievement, today I will be acquiring my second one by answering a few questions regarding #steemit security, so let’s just jump right into them!

QUESTION 1:
Have you retrieved all your keys on #steemit?

ANSWER:
Yes, I have retrieved all keys of my #steemit account, as I’ve saved the PDF document of it in my phone.
There are several ways to save it, which are as follows:

1. By saving the PDF document in your Google Drive.
2. By noting all the keys in a personal diary or your phone’s Notepad.

QUESTION 2:
Do you know each of these key's functions and restrictions?

ANSWER:
Yes, I do know the key’s functions and restrictions, which are stated as followed:

1. Master Key: It is our most important key as it is the most powerful one. We can change our other key passwords using this key. I few have this key, we have our account (as if we’re the master of it), and if we lose this key, then we lose our account too. So, it is important to have this key with us at any cost.
2. Posting Key: This key is commonly used to login to your accounts. It is mainly used for posting, editing, commenting, upvoting, and for resteem. It is prioritized to use this key to login to your account, because even if you lose this key, or if someone has it, they can’t do much with it as they can’t access your wallet and can’t change your keys/passwords.
3. Owner Key: It is just as important as Master Key, as it can also be used to change passwords, but the additional feature to it is that it can also help in account recovery.
4. Memo Key: It is used to send an encrypt or decrypt private message while transferring STEEM to an another account.
5. Active Key: This key is used for wallet operations. By logging in to our account using this key, we can make transactions, conversions and withdraw from our wallet.

QUESTION 3:
How do you plan to keep your Master Key?

ANSWER:
I plan to keep my Master Key, in fact, every key of mine saved in my mobile and laptop in PDF format and also saving it in my phone’s Notepad.

QUESTION 4:
Do you know how to transfer your STEEM token to another #steem user account?

ANSWER:
Yes, I do know how to transfer my STEEM token to an another #steem user account. There are some steps you will have to follow to do so.

Step 1: Open the dropdown menu, located at your account icon, and then click on “Wallet”.

Step 2: Look at the section “STEEM”. There’s an option of a dropdown menu, click on it and then click on “Transfer”.

Step 3: After clicking this, you’ll see a few boxes. Enter the username of the person you want to transfer it to, in the “To” section. Also, enter the amount you want to transfer in “Amount” section.

Step 4: Click “Next”.

Step 5: It’ll then ask you to confirm your transaction, to do so, it asks for a key, better that you input your “Memo Key”.

QUESTION 5:
Do you know how to power up your Steem?

ANSWER:
Yes, I do know how to power up my Steem. There are some steps you will have to follow to do so.

Step 1: Open the dropdown menu, located right next to your account icon, and then click on “Wallet”.

Step 2: Look at the section “STEEM”. There’s an option of a dropdown menu, click on it and then click on “Power Up”.

Step 3: After clicking it, you’ll see a few boxes. Enter the desired amount you want to power up in the “Amount” section.

Step 4: Click “Power Up”.

Step 5: It’ll then ask for your confirmation, to do so, it asks for a key, better that you input your “Memo Key”.

This is how you power up your Steem.
