Introduction

Good day dear friends, am so excited my achievement 2 post got verified yesterday, I was encouraged to post this my achievement 3 because of that as well. This category is talking about plagiarism and it's features and am sure you all will learn something new from it.

Meaning of plagiarism

Plagiarism can be defined as the act of using someone's write-up without taking permission from the owner or giving reference to the write-up. It is fully known as an act of plagiarism once you keep on telling people is your write-up when is not even yours.

This act is a very illegal and it can cause a lot of damage to the plagiarist as well as the sole-owner, someone can also lose his/her reputation in this act.

Types of plagiarism

We have few types of plagiarism, in this section you will be aware of the different types of plagiarism. They are as follows;

Mosaic Plagiarism: This type of plagiarism is a process in which someone takes little phrases from another's person's work and add it to their without making proper permission or attribution. This act of very very illegal even if the person just took small thing from another's person's work.

Direct Plagiarism: This type of plagiarism is a process in which someone copies someone's write-up and paste it in his/her own write-up without taking permission. Most times people copy another person's full write-up and start claiming is theirs and they will start using it to make money which is very illegal.

Paraphrasing Plagiarism: This type of plagiarism is a process in which someone rewrites another person's write-up and change few phrases in it and make it fully theirs without making reference to the sole-owner.

Self-Plagiarism: This type of plagiarism is a process in which someone writes the same published work that has been used previously on several occasions without taking proper citation or permission. It occurs when someone keeps on submitting his/her previous article to different writing companies without proper citation.

Accidental Plagiarism: This type of plagiarism is a process in which someone copies another person's write-up unintentionally, without taking proper citation and permission. This can take place when someone writes an article without taking proper citation of it because he/she thinks is unnecessary because the phrase might be very common. No matter what, this act is bad it can cause legal actions and other negative things.

Meaning of citation

This can be defined as the act of adding the source of your work in your article, the source can be added through a link or any other thing. Citation makes it possible for your readers or viewers to know few information about the main author as well as the origin of your work. It also helps to give credit to the original authors of your write-up.

Brief example of citation

• Traveling relaxes me, I usually go to places where nature is the dominant factor and being in contact with it makes me connect and feel alive. I like nature.⛰️🏖️🏝️

• We can also avoid plagiarism by checking our write-ups in a website known as duplichecker where we fish out plagiarized phrases in our write-ups, i must say is one of my best websites~SOURCE~

Conclusion

Always avoid plagiarism in other for you to an outstanding and independent writer. The last citation example I made was from my friend @tetsu26 achievement 3 post which hasn't been verified yet due reasons I don't know. Anyway thanks for your time.
