*TITLE: ACHIEVEMENT 2 @sambee TASK: BASIC SECURITY ON STEEM*

Hello fellow steemians, here I come again, accept my warm greetings from this side of the world.

It has taken me a while to make my ACHIEVEMENT 2 post since i joined to steemit community due to some works at hand, though have been trying to understanding how to things work on the steemit community thank God I was guided through the of @cryptokannon where basics on the Steemit community are been explained well.

I will be using this opportunity to showcase my understanding on the Basic Security on Steem.

THE BASIC SECURITY KEYS.

I will start with my keys on Steemit.

I used Master password to derive my other keys which is needed for the good functioning of my account after my account was successfully create.

Keys on Steemit
There are five (5) keys that helps your account function well. There are:

1. Master password
2. Posting key
3. Active key
4. Owner key
5. Memo key

FUNCTIONS OF THESE KEYS.

√. Master Password:- This is used to derive all other keys needed for your accounts functionality including the Owner key. This Master password is get at the end of creating of account. Is very risky for anyone to see or have access ro your mastet password because, if anyone have access to it, definitely your account might be steal and your money will also be missing. So, for safety reasons all you need to do is to keep it in a safe place/location.

√. POSTING KEY:- This key is used in terms of logging into Steemit. It also allows you to make posts, comment, edit, vote, resteemand follow or mute other accounts.

√.Active Key:- This is more sensitive tasks such as power up and power down transactions, converting steem dollars, updating profile details and avatar, placing a market order, and transferring funds.

√. Owner key:- This key is use only when necessary. It is the most powerful key among other keys because it is used to change other keys of an account including itself, it also for account recovery and it meant to be stored in a safe place.

√.Memo key:- This is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds.

KEEPING MY MASTER PASSWORD AND KEYS SAFE.

For the safety of my account I have made a copy of my Master Password and all other keys kept safe in my jotter and my memory card.

HOW TO TRANSFER MY STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER ACCOUNT.

Yes, I can transfer my steem token to another Steen user account with the following steps:

√. Step one: I will login to my wallet, using my username and active key.

√. Step two: I will click on the small arrow beside my Steem dollar balance and then select transfer.

√. Step three: I will now put my username first and the recipient I want to transfer to and the amount, then I click next and confirm it.

That is how I can make transfer to another user.

MY WALLET
My wallet contains 3 types of steem which are;

i) Steem
ii) Steem Power
iii) SBD- Steem backed dollars.

Steem: In my wallet, Steem is in the liquid form which means i can transfer to another account or trade itvon the internal market or power it up to steem power.

Steem Power: This represents my investment in steemit inc. I can transfer this steem power to liquid (steem) in a process called power down which will typically take 4weeks.
However having more steem power allows me to comment and other transactions like posting. Therefore having this steem power gives my account more influence.

SDB-Steem Backed Dollars: The steem backed dollars can be traded for steem or transferred to another account.

I stand here Confidently to say i am fully endowed with Basic Security on Steem.
