Am truly happy to be writing on CONTENT ETIQUETTE in steemit achievement 3, base on research i have come to understand that steemit is a platform that promote free writing, you write you earn.

Steemit also promote the idea that original content is not copied by a second party, this can actually make once journey in steemit a bad one. So am going to talk about content etiquette and how to avoid being a victim to the set back that may come from duplicating another person post.

CONTENT ETIQUETTE

In every organisation they is always a set down rules that guide them when we talk about content. So content etiquette is the rules and regulations that protect one's content or post in steemit.

One of this rules is plagiarism, am also this plagiarism.

PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism is when a creator takes his or her fellow creators idea and stand as the original owner, it will be heart breaking for me to burn the midnight candle and edit a movie and another man will get the fan fair.

That feeling of depression and rejection is why steemit come up with this rules... And we have type of plagiarism that i state below.

TYPE OF PLAGIARISM

  1. Direct
  2. Self
  3. Mosaic
  4. And Accidental plagiarism
  • DIRECT PLAGIARISM :- Simply put this when one write another person's content word for word without giving the credit out.

  • SELF PLAGIARISM :- One's post can also be labeled plagiarism even if he or she copies his own old post and upload it as a new one.

  • MOSAIC PLAGIARISM :- This when one changes another person post completely to look different, the trick might work but is advisable to be original.

  • ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM :- Due imperfection we forget lot of things even the most important thing.
So this when a creator with the right intention forget to give praise to another in whom he copied is creation.

All this this type of plagiarism can be avoided if we remember to use quotation and citation.

CITATION

Citations is a way of telling people that our creation or idea belongs to another person, and it also help people to find the original owner of the creation or idea.

I have come to understand the content etiquette of the steemit community, and i will do my best to abide by it
