HEY FELLOW STEEMIANS
Its been a real privilege to write my post on the basic security tips as my achievement 2 on steemit enjoy.

Question;
Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Yes, all my keys on steemit have been retireved and saved in a journal of my choosing (offline), which i feel is best so as not to subject it to being retrived digitally by another party.

Question;
Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions?

Yes, I have a decent understanding about the keys and thier functions as well as its restrictions also

i'd like to start with the Posting Key; This particular key allows your accounts to make posts, edit, resteem, follow, vote, comment and also mute other accounts. This key allows one to perform all needed procedures upon login. Its existence is also to restrict the damage that would be otheriwse brought by the account key.

Active Key;
The most important functions of this key is very subtle. it is used for the transfer of funds such as steem , to power up and down your account, voting for witness, conversion of Steem Dollars, placing a market order and updating profile information and profile graphics.

Owner Key;
This is the most powerful key mostly because it can change any key of an account including the owner key. for safe storage its best to be put offline and only to be used for the recovery of a compromised account.

Memo Key;
This can be used for the encryption and decryption of memos during the transfer of funds

Question
How do you plan to keep your master password?

My master password honestly speaking has been saved offline in a secure location which is only reachable by me at the time and alsi to avpid hacking.

Question
Do you know how to transfer your Steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, though honestly speaking it was a bit difficult to understand at first but with some learning I have been able to get the hang of it. Here are the steps below

firstly Left Click on the graphic icon which would show a drop down menu, then you Click on wallet.
after that you Click on the arrow pointed down towards the steem.then, in the menu that appears, type the username of the account you are transferring the steem token to. finally Click next, then confirm.

Do you know how to power up your Steem?
in my own words powering up steem(i.e increasing ones voting power) can simply be done by clicking "liquid steem" and after that you click the "power up" option in the drop down menu
