Plagiarism is sharing ideas or knowledge (original content) that are not your own without the necessary royalties or appreciation to the owner. It may be intentional or unintentional. Plagiarism comes in different forms, of which one must do well to avoid necessarily. They include; intentional (self, copy and paste, paraphrasing) and unintentional plagiarism.

  • Self Plagiarism: it is said to be submitting a previous post to a different community without permission or acceptance from the community leaders.

  • Copy and Paste Plagiarism: as the name implies, copying texts or posts from the internet or anywhere and presenting as one's own without references of the owner.

  • Paraphrasing Plagiarism: is about copying phrases of original content from a source without quotes or acknowledgement to the owner and therefore could be termed as plagiarism.

  • Unintentional Plagiarism: this is when one posts similar content without acknowledging the original content by not citing their sources.
