Achievement 2 by @switjeph - Basic security on Steemit. Mentorship by @cryptokannon

Hello Steamians , on my achievement 2 I will be talking about Basic Security on Steemit. A feeling of security is a feeling of being safe and free from worry, hence basic security on steemit refers to secure measures taken to protect your Steemit account from hackers, theft and unauthorized persons.

HAVE YOU RETRIEVED ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT?
The answer is Yes, that I have retrieved all my keys on steemit. On signing up, i was provided with my master password. On knowing it’s importance , I ensured my keys are kept safe offline to avoid unwanted access and my account being hacked.

DO YOU KNOW EACH OF THESE KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

On Steemit, we are provided with keys and each key has it own unique function as mentioned below :

Master Key : This key is used to generate and unlock all other keys , it is very important to keep it safe cause on loosing this key it cannot be retrieved , unless you will have to go through an account recovery process.

Private Posting Key : This key is used to login into your steem account, to publish a post, make comments, publish edited posts or comments, make upvotes and downvotes , resteem contents by others , follow people and mute accounts.

Private Active key: This key is used Transfer tokens, Power STEEM up or down, SBD conversion, Vote for witnesses,Place an order on an exchange, Certain profile changes, Publish a Witness price feed, Create a new user.

Private Owner Key : This Key is used to Reset Owner, Active, and Posting keys, Recover your account and Decline voting rights.

Private Memo Key : This Key is used to Send and view encrypted messages.

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR MASTER PASSWORD SAFE ?
It is very important to keep the master password safe to prevent fraudulent activities such as theft and hackers. So I plan to save my master password and keep it safe offline stored only where I know and no one can have access to.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER ACCOUNT?
Well yes I have gone through the process and I understand how. I simply Go to steem wallet, login, input username and private active key. After that’s i click on steem drop down, click transfer, input the receiver name and amount you wish to transfer. A screenshot below would show how it’s done.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM
Yes, I simply go to my steem wallet, login, input username and private active key. Click on drop down arrow close to steem, select power up. Input the account you want to power up and that is it. My screenshots below would explain the process.


With this presentation I have been able to complete my achievement 2, I am indeed very grateful to @cryptokannon, @ngoenyi and @shulidino for knowledgeable experience and privilege. I look forward to gaining more crypto experience here in steemit.
