Hello! Steemians! I am Tamar Mercy and I am so glad to be part of this family after hearing about it from my cousin brother who has been on it for a while now.

ABOUT MYSELF

My name is Tamar Mercy Kegbe, I hails from Ajapa, Ese Odo Local government area, Ondo State, Nigeria. Proudly Ijaw by tribe.
I am the third and first daughter in a family of five. I was born on the 22nd day of February 1992.

MY EDUCATION

I started my primary education in the village at the age of six because those days, children bellow that age range was not allowed to start school yet because of their limitations. After my primary education at St Mary's primary school Ajapa, I proceeded to secondary school in the same community, I spent my first three years there before moving to the city to conclude my secondary education at Victory Comprehensive College Ondo, Ondo State, in 2009.
I took jamb that same year since I have always wanted to attend university immediately after my secondary school but unfortunately I wasn't given admission that year. Then I applied for another jamb again the following year and again,no admission and it went on and on like that till after my fourth jamb. So I apparently I wasted four good years at home because I wanted only a university admission. I was going from one university to the other in different states to write post UTME because I never wanted to attend Polytechnic or college of education. Then after four years, I realized a university admission wasn't coming forth, so I had to start from Polytechnic, concluded my National Diploma (ND) in 2014, and proceeded for the compulsory one year student industrial training before going back for my HND in 2016 and graduated in 2018 as a certified Accountant
I was deployed for NYSC that same year, then after my NYSC, I went back to a university to have my BSc in Accounting to fulfill my long-term dream of attending a university and I am glad I did. And finally I got my Bsc in Accounting this year, from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. It was an Incredible experience.

MY HOBBIES

I am gifted in doing so many things with my hands but there are some of them I love doing most because of the joy I derive from doing them, they include, cooking, watching movies, reading and making clothes.

MY OCCUPATION

I am a fashion designer, though I am yet to have my own fashion house but I am committed to making it big in the nearest future.
I have always loved making clothes, and creating new styles since I was young, so I decided to learn the profession after my graduation in 2018. It has been an amazing journey since then, I am glad that dream was fulfilled. Bellow are some of my designs.

MY LIKES AND DISLIKES

I am a very simple and kind hearted person, so I like people of like minds.
I like honesty and truthfulness and I dislike dishonesty and lies.

HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT STEEMIT

I have heard about steemit since 2020 during the covid19 period from my cousin brother @tmighty, but at that time, I didn't take it seriously because I was engaged in other things and I taught it would be a distraction. Thank God I am finally done with those things and I decided to join the steemit family, and I am super excited to be here.

THE KIND OF POST I WILL BE MAKING

As a person that loves cooking a lot, I will be posting about different recipes and of course as a fashion designer, I will be posting on that aspect too, and a lot more.

MY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CRYPTO CURRENCY

I know crypto currency to be a digital or virtual currency that is secured by cryptography, which makes it nearly impossible to counterfeit or double spend. It can be saved in wallets, such as blockchains, trust wallet etc.

CONCLUSION

I am really grateful to be part of this platform and I can't wait experience all the good things this platform has to offer, and I am thankful to my cousin brother who introduced me to this great family.
